Establishing natural resource protections in the areas where Springfield’s urban growth boundary (UGB) recently expanded is necessary before development of urban uses can occur in these areas. The first major step of this work—the inventory phase—is nearing completion. Staff will share context for the effort and will give a progress update on the various inventories for wetlands, riparian corridors, and wildlife habitats.
