Wetlands and Riparian Corridors Explained

Staff will provide an overview of what wetlands and riparian corridors are and what they offer. A deeper understanding of what these resources are can inform future steps of the active Comprehensive Planning project to inventory and evaluate wetlands and riparian corridors where the Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) recently expanded. Staff will ask: (1) Which functions of wetlands and riparian corridors appear relevant to the UGB expansion areas?; and, (2) What are your favorite places that feature wetlands or riparian corridors, and why?

Hi Monica, great presentation! I think this explanation of wetlands and riparian corridors should be added to the City's website as a valuable instructional message and PSA.
