Floodplain Deliberations
The City of Springfield participates in the National Flood Insurance Program administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). As such the City must adopt and enforce regulations for development in the floodplain. To ensure compliance with FEMA's minimum standards, the City must adopt updated regulations to align with the State of Oregon Model Flood Hazard Management Ordinance - October 2020.
